NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Bellport Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on September 19, 2024 at 7pm in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to consider the following application:
215 S. Country Road Associates LP (aka The Gateway), 215 S. Country Road, Bellport, NY seeks the following variance to place a detached sign between the entrance and exit along South Country Road:
Sec. 21-306. Signs.
In addition to the requirements of Division 5 of Article V, and not withstanding any other part of this chapter, no banners, pennants, revolving signs, insignias and flags, except national, organizational or trade flags, shall be permitted in the Cultural and Performing Arts District, except upon a grant of a conditional use permit from the board of zoning appeals.
Sec. 21-486. Construction standards.
(3) Detached signs.
a. No detached sign shall be located less than fifteen (15) feet from the front property line nor less than five (5) feet from the side property line. No detached sign may be located less than fifty (50) feet from any other freestanding sign.
Proposed: Sign located 2 feet from front yard property line
The Suffolk County Tax Map number is 0202-6-1-3. The property is in the Cultural and Performing Arts District. All persons with an interest may attend and will be heard. The Community Center is handicapped accessible.
