PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that should the Executive Order suspending New York Open Meetings Law not be extended past October 4, 2020, the Village of Bellport Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 7 pm in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to consider the following application. If the suspension of the New York State Open Meetings Law is extended past the above referenced date, the meeting will be streamed live over the internet and interested parties can find the link at www.bellportvillageny.gov.
Michael Tomei, 6 Brewster Lane, Bellport, NY is seeking the following variances to construct a 105 square foot covered front porch; a 91 square foot addition, one story addition in the front of the dwelling and a 164 square foot, one story addition in the rear of the dwelling:
Sec. 21-220. – Front yard.
In the Residence A District, there shall be a front yard having a depth of not less than fifty (50) feet.
Proposed: Covered front porch located 40.49 feet from front yard lot line.
Sec. 21-221. – Side yards.
In the Residence A District, there shall be two (2) side yards, one on each side of the building, the total width of both to be not less than sixty (60) feet, and no one side shall be less than twenty (20) feet in width.
Proposed: 12.88 foot setback on north side of dwelling; total side yard of 47.11 feet.
The single-family dwelling is located in the “A” Residence District. The Suffolk County Tax Map Number is 0202-6-2-2.
