Zoning Board of Appeals Hearing – Re: 14 Station Road, Bellport – March 18, 2021 at 7:00 pm

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that should the Executive Order suspending New York Open Meetings Law not be extended past February 26, 2021, the Village of Bellport Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 7 pm in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to consider the following application. If the suspension of the New York State Open Meetings Law is extended past the above referenced date, the meeting will be streamed live over the internet and interested parties can find the link at www.bellportvillageny.gov.

Bellport Brewery, 14 Station Road, Bellport, NY is seeking the following variance and a special permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals:

Sec. 21-296. – Outdoor storage and sales.

 (b) Restaurants, shops and stores that have, as their primary activity, the sale of food and beverage, shall be permitted to place and locate tables and chairs in front of their establishment (front yard) upon issuance of a special permit from the Village of Bellport Planning Board.

Proposed: Outdoor seating in side yard of property.

Sec. 21-286. – Use.

            In the Business E District, no building or premises shall be used and not building shall be hereafter erected except for one or more of the following:

(15) Brewery provided:

  1. No outdoor sale or service of food except by means of a food truck. Food trucks shall be a permitted accessory use when authorized by an annual special permit from the Board of Appeals.

Proposed: Special permit allowing food trucks as per site plan approved by Planning Board

The property is located in the “E” Busines District. All persons with an interest may attend and will be heard.  The Community Center is handicapped accessible. The Suffolk County Tax Map number is 0202-8-2-36.
