PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that should the Executive Order suspending New York Open Meetings Law not be extended past May 25, 2021, the Village of Bellport Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 7 pm in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to consider the following application. If the suspension of the New York State Open Meetings Law is extended past the above referenced date, the meeting will be streamed live over the internet and interested parties can find the link at www.bellportvillageny.gov.
Bryce Boyd and Thomas Norby, 6 Brookside Avenue, Bellport, NY 11713 are seeking the following variances to renovate an existing single-family dwelling:
Sec. 21-221. – Side yards.
In the Residence A District, there shall be two (2) side yards, one on each side of the building, the total width of both to be not less than sixty (60) feet, and no one side shall be less than twenty (20) feet in width.
Proposed: Rear addition located 18 feet 10 inches from side yard property line: total width of side yard to equal 39 feet 4 inches
Sec. 21-222. – Rear yard.
In the Residence A District, there shall be rear yard having a minimum depth of sixty (60) feet.
Proposed: Rear yard depth of 36 feet
Sec. 21-225. – Building area.
- Main building and accessory buildings: In the Residence A District the maximum total building area for the main building and all accessory buildings shall not exceed fifteen (15) percent of the total lot area.
Proposed: Building area of 31.42%
The Suffolk County Tax Map number is 0202-6-3-27. The property is in the “A” residence district. All persons with an interest may attend and will be heard. The Community Center is handicapped accessible.
