PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Bellport Historic District Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 9 am in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to consider the following application:
Andrew Egan & John Melfi, 181 S. Country Road, Bellport are seeking to construct an attached garage/studio/mud room addition and add a covered front porch to the existing dwelling. The siding on the addition will be natural cedar, vertical shiplap and the trim will be wood, painted black; the roofing on the garage will be natural cedar shingles. The covered front porch will have cedar decking and wood columns painted white. The roof on the mudroom and the porch will be a copper standing seam roof. The windows will be double hung, black.
The single-family dwelling is located in the “B” Residence District and the South Country Road East Historic District. The Suffolk County Tax Map Number is 0202-5-6-14.3.
All persons with an interest may attend and will be heard. The Community Center is handicapped accessible.
