PUBLIC NOTICE
INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW #1 OF 2026
TO OVERRIDE THE 2% TAX CAP
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Bellport will be holding a Public Hearing for Introductory Local Law #1 Piercing the 2% Tax Cap pursuant to Section §20 (5) of the Municipal Home Rule Law. The meeting will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, New York. The Public Hearing is to consider enacting the proposed Introductory Local Law #1 of 2026 overriding the 2% tax cap as established in General Municipal Law §3-C. A full copy of the proposed Introductory Local Law #1 of 2026 is available for inspection during regular Village business hours in the Village Clerk’s Office.
At said public hearing, any persons interested shall be given the opportunity to be heard.
