PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Bellport Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 7 pm in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to hear the following application which was originally scheduled to be heard on November 15, 2018:
Susan and Ronald Perry, 14 Otis Lane, Bellport, NY seek the following variances to place a generator in a side yard:
Sec. 21-223. – Corner lots.
In the Residence A District, that portion of a corner lot which has frontage upon the street which the main entrance of the building faces, as shown by plans or physical layout, shall be deemed the front thereof; that portion of the corner lot having frontage upon another street shall be deemed a side yard.
Sec. 21-226. – Accessory buildings and structures.
(b) In the Residence A District, unless addressed specifically elsewhere in this chapter, all structures and accessory structures must be located in the rear yard of a lot and be setback at least fifteen (15) feet from all property lines. No structure and/or accessory structure shall exceed fifteen (15) feet in height.
Proposed: Generator located in the side yard.
The Suffolk County Tax Map number is 0202-14-3-2.1. The property is in the “AA” residence district. All persons with an interest may attend and will be heard. The property The Community Center is handicapped accessible.
