NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: 13 Thornhedge Road

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Bellport Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 7 pm in the Bellport Community Center, 4 Bell Street, Bellport, NY to consider the following application which was originally scheduled to be heard on November 15, 2018:

Guy Metcalfe, 13 Thornhedge Road, Bellport, NY is seeking the following variances to construct a 60 foot x 120 foot tennis court with a maximum 8 foot high fence in the front yard of a single family dwelling:

Sec. 21-226 (b).  Accessory buildings and structures.

(b)   In the Residence A District all accessory structures must be located in the rear yard of a lot.

Proposed: 60 foot x 120 foot Tennis Court located in the front yard.

Sec. 21-227. Fences.

In the Residence A District, no fence or wall may be erected having a height greater than four (4) feet from the ground.

Proposed: Maximum 8 foot high fence around tennis court to be located in the front yard.

The Suffolk County Tax Map number is 0202-13-3-1. The property is in the “AA” residence district. All persons with an interest may attend and will be heard. The property The Community Center is handicapped accessible.
