Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting – April 29, 2019

Minutes

 

Call to Order, Pledge of Allegiance & Roll Call – Deputy Mayor Gagliano absent

1.       Resolution # 20 Approve Board of Trustee Meeting Minutes of March 25, 2019 (Exhibit 1)

Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Trustee Ferrigno.  APPROVED

2.       Resolution # 21 Approve proposed Budget Transfers for Financial Statements (Exhibit 2)

Motion made by Trustee Mackin 2nd by Trustee Rosenberg.  APPROVED

3.       Resolution # 22 Approve Payments of the attached invoices in the Abstract Reports, dated

             April 29, 2019 (Exhibit 3)  Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Trustee Ferrigno.  APPROVED

·         Enterprise Fund, 24 Vendors totaling $111,263.26

·         General Fund, 86 Vendors totaling $149,242.06

·         Capital Fund, 1 Vendors totaling $145,735.94

·         Authorize Treasurer to make the required payments and transfers.

1.      Introduction of  the Boy Scouts Troop, who are attending the meeting as a requirement for a Merit Badge

2.      Resolution # 23 Upcoming Election:

Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Trustee Ferrigno.  APPROVED

i.      Registration Day – Saturday, June 8, 2019 12pm – 5pm, must have valid Village ID Card, Village Hall will be open for ID’s from 9am -12 noon.  No ID cards will be issued after 12 noon

ii.      Election Day – Tuesday June 18, 2019 7am – 9pm Community Center

 

1.      Mayor and 2 Trustees, 2 year terms

2.      Lorraine Crowley for Chief Election Inspector

                                                                        Mary Carlson,  Aida Chimelis

3.       Resolution # 24 Letter from Frank Miller, President of the Pattersquash Gunners’ Club, dated April 9, 2019, regarding support poles (Exhibit 4) Motion made by Trustee Ferrigno 2nd by

Trustee Mackin.  APPROVED

4.      Resolution # 25 Accept SCWA reimbursement of $93,694.45 for infrastructure work completed on Brown’s Lane. By accepting these funds, Bellport Village accepts the liability of the restoration. (Exhibit 5) Motion made by Trustee Mackin 2nd by Trustee Ferrigno. APPROVED

5.      Resolution # 26 SEQR State Environmental Quality Review: Adon Austin of Rising Tide Submitted the SEQR for the permitting with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. The Village of Bellport needs to adopt the SQRA submitted for the NYS DEC Approval  for Main Dock Project. Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Trustee

Ferrigno. APPROVED

6.       Resolution # 27 Approve new Senior Program Form (including Waiver/Indemnification)

7.       Resolution #28 Bellport Garden Club donation of trees (Exhibit 7) Motion made by Trustee

Ferrigno 2nd by Trustee Mackin. APPROVED

 

8.       Resolution # 29 Special Events (Organizers and/or Residents, not Parades) in the Village Pass Through Charges Code to the Event Holders (Exhibit 8) Motion made by Trustee Mackin 2nd by

Trustee Ferrigno.  APPROVED

9.       Resolution #30 Approve the following Special Events (Exhibit 9) Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg

2nd by Trustee Mackin. APPROVED

a.       Easter Crazy Hat Parade sponsored by the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, April 20th, 11:30Am-1:00PM on Main Street (retroactive)

b.      2019 Paddleboard Season: Meaghen Shannon – May 25th through October 14, 2019, including Paddle to the Point, Balloon Collection Project, Full Moon Paddles, Boys and Girls Paddles, Community Collaborations with BVPF, FoBB, CEED, Volleyball Team Paddle, etc.

c.       Friends of Bellport Bay (FoBB) Fund Raiser at the Apfel home on South Bewster, June 8th, 9AM (set-up) to 8PM

d.      Country Club Wedding with Fireworks by Grucci Request: follow-up discussion after speaking with Phil Grucci

e.       Bellport Fire Department Fundraiser – First Annual Classic Car Show (in conjunction with MVP) – June 30, 2019, from 10AM-4PM, South Country Road street closure from the Four Corners of South Country Road (east) to New Jersey Avenue.
