PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 20(5) of the Municipal Home Rule Law, a public hearing will be held by the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Bellport, on the 23rd day of August 2021, at 7:00 p.m., at the Bellport Community Center, located at 4 Bell Street Bellport NY 11713, to consider enacting the following proposed Introductory Local Law;
INTRODUCTORY LOCAL LAW # 3 OF 2021
AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF BELLPORT
ENTITLED, “LICENSES, PERMITS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS” ARTICLE II “REGULATION OF CERTAIN LICENSED HOME IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTORS.”
SUMMARY
The proposed local law would amend Chapter 10 of the Code of the Village of Bellport “Licenses, Permits and Miscellaneous Business Regulations” Article II “Regulation of Certain Licensed Home Improvement Contractors” to regulate home improvement work within the Village and require persons, companies or corporations with Suffolk County Home Improvement Licenses to obtain registration certificates from the Village of Bellport.
This is a summary of the proposed Local Law, a fully copy of which is on file in the Village Clerk’s Office and is available for inspection during regular Village business hours. At said public hearing, any persons interested shall be given the opportunity to be heard.
