The Facility

The Tennis Center is located at the Bellport Country Club just south of South Country Road on the north side of the Golf Course. The facility is managed by Louis Nunez who sees to it that our five Har-Tru Courts are well maintained at all times. Nunez, who is USPTA certified & 10 & under certified, provides tennis instruction and runs a very successful Junior Development Program. In addition, he coordinates a full schedule of events throughout the summer for the benefit of the membership, including special events, men’s and ladies’ doubles round robins, men's night, ladies day, interclub matches as well as weekend member tournaments. (Check our calendar for more events.)

Membership

  • Full season memberships are available at the Village Hall for both Village Residents and Non-Residents.
  • Residents must provide proper identification upon application.
  • Members are entitled to free court time throughout the season.
  • Court time will be limited during scheduled tournaments and Round Robins. It will be suspended during afternoon Junior Development sessions and Kid’s Camp Tuesdays at 11 am during the month of July only.

Bellport Village Residents are welcomed to use the tennis courts whenever a court is available all seven days of the week between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. Prior to coming down to play, Resident Non-Members should call the club at (631) 776-0859 to determine if a court is available. Alternatively, they can reserve (hold) an available tennis court after 12 pm, but no more than four hours in advance.

Hourly Rates from 8:00 am to 11:30 am are $18.00 per player; after 12 pm the rate drops to $10.00 per player.

All players, including Residents, must check in at the Tennis Office prior to entering onto the courts. Residents must bring proper Village IDs to show to the Staff or they will not be allowed on the courts. As part of our current safety protocol, please bring a mask, keep it with you at all times and maintain proper social distancing of 6 feet or more. Please adhere to our dress code, which calls for appropriate tennis attire (no tank tops), including smooth soled sneakers (no running sneakers allowed).

Please leave the courts and patio after playing. As you depart, distance yourself from other players leaving the courts, as well as players entering the patio area. Outside patio tables and chairs and court benches will remain stored away to discourage social activity or congregating at and around the courts, patio area and parking lot. The court gates will remain open at all times to prevent players from coming in contact with the latches.

Non-member, non-resident guests are still not permitted to play at the Bellport Tennis Center.
