NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION: VILLAGE TRUSTEE FOR VILLAGE OF BELLPORT

A Special Election will be held to fill the Trustee position vacated by Steve Mackin effective December 31, 2025. The elected individual will serve the remainder of the term from April 7, 2026, through June 30, 2026.
This election is being held in accordance with Village Code Section 2-323, based on a 2009 referendum, which requires a Special Election within 75 to 100 days of a resignation.
Note: The regular Village Election will proceed as scheduled on June 16, 2026. A full calendar of important dates for the Special Election will be posted on the Village website this week.
