VILLAGE ELECTION 2020 UPDATE
Governor Cuomo has issued guidelines for the 2020 Village Election signing of the Independent Nominating Petition process.
Any Resident interested in running for Village Trustee or Village Justice, can go to the following website www.elections.ny.gov to obtain an Independent Nominating Petition.
Bellport Village nominating petition must have a minimum of 35 resident signatures to have a candidate on the ballot.
July 1, 2020 is the first day candidates may start petitioning for signatures.
July 27, 2020 is the first day to file petitions with the Village Clerk at Village Hall.
July 30, 2020 is the last day to file petitions with the Village Clerk at Village Hall by 4:00pm
July 31, 2020 is the last day to file written objections to independent nominating petition.
September 5, 2020 is registration day for residents who are not registered with Suffolk County Board of Elections.
September 15, 2020 Village Election Day. Which will be held in the Bellport Community Center at 4 Bell Street, Bellport from 7:00am – 9:00pm
