PSEG Electrical Outage Update:
Today, Wednesday, August 5th, the Village was on a conference call held by PSEG at 4:00PM. Its purpose was to update Eastern Long Island, its townships and municipalities, on the status of their recovery efforts.
PSEG admitted that it had Verizon issues regarding communication, during and after yesterday’s storm. They stated that they have made progress and that by 4:00PM tomorrow, they should recover 82% of those without power; and by Saturday morning they project that all electrical damage will be remediated.
