Report of the Village Attorney

1. Resolution: 68 Approve the Board Meeting Minutes of April 19, 2021. (Exhibit 1)

Motion:  Trustee Ferrigno – Second:  Trustee Rosenberg

2. Approve the following payments:

    • Resolution: 69 Approve General Fund Checking Abstract Report #12. Consisting of 97 vendors:
      1. General Fund Expenditures:    $ 267,657.35
      2. Enterprise Fund Expenditures:     34,377.48
      3. Capital Fund Expenditures:          22,053.02

            Totaling:                                          $324,087.85

    • Resolution: 70 Approve the Enterprise Fund Checking Abstract Report #12 Consisting of 26 vendors totaling, $154,121.56.

    • Resolution: 71 Approve the Capital Fund Checking Abstract Report #12 Consisting of 1 vendor totaling, $131,122.00.

3. Resolution: 72 Approve the Budget Transfers as of May 24, 2021, (Exhibit 3)

4. Resolution 73 $1,000 Donation by the Thomas Family for the replacement of the Mulberry Tree with a Catalpa Tree in Osborn Park.

Motion:  Trustee Ferrigno – Second:  Trustee Rosenberg

5. Resolution 74 Donation of 3 London Planetrees Trees for Browns Lane by the Marshall-Belheumer Family.

Motion:  Trustee Mackin – Second:  Trustee Rosenberg

6. Resolution: 75 Donation of 2 London Planetrees Trees for Brewster Lane by the Brian Sawyer.

Motion:  Trustee Mackin – Second:  Trustee Ferrigno

7. Update on Bonding Process:

    • Standard and Poors Rating: AA+, upgrade from Adequate to Strong Management
    • Closing is expected to take place on May 25, 2021.

8. Discussion: Request for Proposal – Auditing Services. (Exhibit 4)

9. Resolution: 76 Approval of MS-4 Storm Water Report for March 9, 2021, for submission to the NYS DEC. (Exhibit 5)

10. Updates:

    1. Status of the FEMA Main Dock Project: Final Punch List Items
    2. DHC Government Advocacy Group – US Congressman Lee Zeldin’s Office Grant Request for Proposal
    3. Discussion: During COVID – 19 Pandemic: Tables on sidewalks during the upcoming Summer Season
    4. Discussion: Return to In-person Meetings in June, pending Pandemic Protocols
    5. Discussion: Amenities - ID Cards, Use of Amenities, and Ferry Extended Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Holiday Weekends 10:00AM-7:30PM. (Exhibit 6)
    6. Termite Infestations on Village Property: Remediation at Village Hall, Community Center and the Golf Pro Shop

11. Resolution: 77 Under COVID - 19 Pandemic Protocol: Proposed Special Events:

    1. Memorial Day Parade – VFW and Bellport Village: May 31, 2021, due to the Pandemic the Parade will be smaller than usual; participating: fire departments and the South Country Ambulance Company
    2. Meet the Candidates – Thomas Shultz and Terry Tuthill of The Advance, Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 9:30AM-Noon (Rain date: Sunday, June 13th) at Village Hall Park
    3. MVP Automotive Inc., Celebrates 20 Years on July 17, 2021, at its Shop on Main Street, with Music and DJ, expecting 175 people.
    4. Assemblyman DeStefano - 2021Boater Safety Course – at the Community Center, on July 12, 2021, maximum of 35 participants.
    5. Sunrise/Sunset Yoga at Mothers’ Beach – Jeanine Donohue, flexible schedule: once per week (more, or less), depending on participants, $500 permit fee.
    6. Bellport Bay Sailing Foundation – US Olympic Committee Regatta, Portsmouth, Rhode Island, August 20-22; participating sailboats20-25 s expected, 8:00AM-6:00PM
